CLIFFORD WILLIAM LENTZ
CLIFFORD WILLIAM LENTZ, JR., 91, of Wildwood Crest, NJ, passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2021. Born in Philadelphia to the
late Clifford William Lentz, Sr. and Verna Barr Lentz, he has always had a home at the shore but moved here permanently over 20 years
ago from Voorhees. A Navy Veteran of the Korean War, he served on the USS Merrimack,
the USS Missouri, and the USS William T. Powell (DER-213).
A master plumber, Mr. Lentz owned and operated Lentz Plumbing and Heating in Haddonfield, NJ and was a member of the
Camden County Master Plumbers. He was also a member of the Haddonfield American Legion and Lions Club, where he was President
and received the Perfect President Pin. He was a lifetime member of the Lions Eye Bank of the Delaware Valley and served on the
Ocean Place Condo Board for 15 years. He always had a boat and enjoyed fishing and crabbing.
Mr. Lentz is survived by his wife of 71 years Hazel Lentz; his children Clifford Lentz, III, Wayne (Sally) Lentz,
Connie Lentz-Scerati, and Michele (David) Barikian; his brother Wayne Lentz; his sister Karen Vitale; and his nine
grandchildren Clifford Lentz, IV, Lauren (Zach) Dane, Anthony Scerati, Jordan Barikian, Logan Barikian, Connor Barikian,
Lukas Barikian, Alexandra Barikian, and Eric Barikian. He was preceded in death by his sister Verna “Peachy” Lentz; his
daughters in law Kathy and Joann;
and his son in law Vince.
